Topshop Sale Question.

Its probably a dumb question, but hey!

I bought a playsuit from Topshop the other day, and ive found out today its gone in the sale for half price. Yet typically theres no sale ones left.
If I took it back on Monday for a refund and then ask to buy it back again for the sale price.. Would they let me do that?

I was just wondering, do brands such as Citizens of Humanity go on sale? I saw a pair of amazing jeans a few months ago but at £220, my only chance of being able to afford them is at sale price. If they're not going to go on sale, then I will just save myself the troubles of the Selfridges crowd tomorrow.

I'm a bit annoyed because I went to try mascara at the Dior counter and the woman was a bit useless and now I've accidentally ended up with "Backstage" mascara with the enormous brush which is not what I wanted at all, help...

Basically I asked to try the lengthening mascara and the lady was very vague but bought some over to try with a disposable brush. My mum ended up buying it for me then and taking it home to put under the tree. So today I open it up and it's not the lengthening one at all but one with an enormous brush a nightmare to apply, though it does look great. For a while I thought it was just my imagination cos I've been using a mini mascara sample the last few weeks lol, but I looked it up on the website and it's not the lengthening one ("Unlimited") but the "Backstage" one with XXL brush!

So basically have you guys got any ideas what I can do, or tips for applying it?

I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas :).

Does anyone know anywhere in the Cardiff area (or even just in Wales) that does permenant hair extensions?

Failing that, does anyone have any experience of permenant hair extensions? Good or bad?

I really want some and I'm feeling rather flush with Christmas money so I'm thinking of treating myself :)

Thanks in advance!

Did anyone get any bargains in the Borders closing down sale?
In my local store they reduced all books to just 5p in the end!
Unfortunatley I had already left by then!

I have found a few good eBooks on The Pirate Bay, and bought a couple from Waterstones, but does anyone else have any suggestions fror where to buy or procure them from?

I know I'm a bit late but does any of you lovely have a spotify invite they could send me??

Also I'm in love with the boots below but when I went to try them on it took about 10 mins to pull them up then I got worried that I was stuck and took another 10 to take them off, well I left topshop embarrassed, so has anyone seen any boots similar to these anywhere else (where they may actually fit me haha), I will love you forever.

I'm a bit of a fan of fashion blogs, but I'm after some new ones to read/follow. I like the kind with photos of people out on the streets, like The Satorialist and blogs about people's own style like Style Bubble rather than endles lists of what's new on the catwalks.
Basically I prefer real fashion put together by real people on realistic budgets. I'm a student, so blogs of people who are always buying the latest It Bag or Gucci's new collection aren't that helpful for me.
Any reccomendations?
What do you look at for fashion inspiration?

Two very different questions..

1. I am planning my friends hen party for the end of july 2010. We have decided to take her to London to see Dirty Dancing and, since her mam and his mam are a bit older they'd prefer not to be away for the weekend so it's just us 5 girlies! We decided to get a suite in a hotel so we can have a 'sleepover' and not have to split up at the end of the night.
Any recommendations for hotels near Aldwych Theatre. Also recommendations of restaurants/bars/clubs around that area so as we dont have to do much taxi'ing around!!
Anyway seen the Dirty Dancing show? Any good?

2. Anyone know of any good message boards that are quite active?

What do you all think about this: Are impossible beauty standards a subconscious cultural reaction against women's growing political power??

Excerpt form the article (but do read it all!): "Thinking about what the last decade has meant for American women, I kept coming back to the increasingly cruel physical scrutiny that they're subject to. Impossible beauty standards seem like a subconscious cultural reaction against women's growing power. It's fine for women to do everything men do - as long as they stay skinny, sexy, young, and soignée [= elegant, well-groomed] at the same time. The surveillance culture of the Internet and the tabloids sends a message to all women that to let oneself go for even a moment is to open oneself up to a psychotic Greek chorus of abuse. Even as our politics get a little bit better for women, the broader public climate grows more unforgiving by the day."

Do you agree?

On a more personal level, do you ever think about whether the time you spend on beauty (and fashion) means you're missing out on doing something else? Sometimes when I shave my legs I think "Fuck this, I could be working on my masterplan for world peace"...

Hi i think there's a post about proper hair extensions in the tags but it was made like a year ago so i figured more people might have had them/know about them now.

right basically i've just got some money that i didn't know i was going to get so i want to treat myself  (otherwise i wouldn't even be contemplating this) &i've been looking into proper hair extensions, as in not the clip in type.
does anyone have any stories about them? horror or otherwise.
how much on average do they cost? my hair is pretty thick so would it cost more because of this etc?
&what type is best? aftercare?
i don't want to end up with ratty horrible OBV FAKE hair.

in short, tell me stuff about real/long term hair extensions.

Hello everyone. I'm new here, so I think I'd better start with an introduction. I'm Fran and I'm 15 from Essex. Basically, I really want to buy this thigh length jumper from Topshop, but I don't know what I would wear it with. Leggings or jeans? Also, as it is a jumper, could you wear another layer over the top or not, such as a cropped jacket? I really don't like buying an item of clothing unless I have an idea in my head of what the whole look will be (control freak, I know.) Please help! All suggestions are welcome.
